Styrene
Tertiary butyl cathechol (TBC) are added to polystyrene monomer feedstocks to prevent polymerization or side chain reactions. Often times this gives the finished product a yellowish tint. To produce high quality finished white product, often times the TBC must be removed by a macroporous adsorbent.
Sepcor can provide materials specially designed to reduce side chain reactions and polymerization reactions. Our adsorbents retain a high capability for water and TBC and specially manufactured to retain these characteristics in styrene service.
