Fluid Loss Control

SEPCOR supplies both polymer and non-polymer fluids  as filtrate control agents to manage filtration rates and reduce filter cake permeability.   Our High Temperature Filtration Control Additives performs exceptionally well and tolerates various water-soluble salts encountered in oilfield applications. In tests, the monovalent salts of sodium and potassium are compatible at concentrations of 100,000 mg/l of NaCl. Divalent salts of calcium and magnesium were tested to concentrations of 2000 mg/l of Ca++. The resistance to these components of the system provides a foundation for preparing a system with excellent API and HTHP filtration control. It has been designed to be superior to all competitive products at all temperatures to 400°F.

SEPCOR Oil based Filtrate Control Additive is available in three special grades: LGT, MGT and HGT. These products have low solubility in hydrocarbons and minimum plastic flow in all of the grades and impart excellent filtrate control in oil-based and invert drilling fluid systems.
